Sheikh Ibrahim Gangat
Imam Ibrahim Gangat joined MSOG as a full time Imam in 2001. After completing his Quranic and Islamic Studies in India, he served as an Imam for 2 years in South Africa before moving to Toronto. Imam Ibrahim began his career here as a Quran Teacher with Islamic Foundation Toronto, one of Canada’s oldest Islamic Centre.
Imam Ibrahim is well known for his Qirat and has won awards both nationally and internationally. Many of his Hifz students have also won recognition for their recitation. Imam Ibrahim has been overseeing Qirat Competition in Toronto for over a decade.
In addition to his Imam duties, he is a Quran Teacher at both the MSOG and Meezan School. He is also registered Minister for marriage.
